Wild Basin is an area of Rocky Mountain National Park just outside Estes Park, Colorado. The photo from which this pastel was painted was taken the summer of 2010 on a hike with Jamie, Kay and Ernie Long and Lois and Rod Steele. It was a beautiful hike and a wonderful day. We took this particular hike toward the end of our stay in the mountains with our Columbus, Indiana friends.
